Preface
Thank God we pray the presence of God Almighty who has
bestowed His grace and guidance, so his paper can be resolved. Do not forget we
would like to thank our supervisor Mr. Ign. Binartoto, family, and friends who
have supported us in making this paper.
This paper was prepared to fulfill the task of English
courses. This paper presents about one sentence in the English form of Nominal
Sentence (Noun1 + Verb + Noun1). The paper is expected to increase our
knowledge of sentence patterns in English, one of which is the nominal
sentence.
We know that the sentence that we made is still far from
perfection. For that advice and criticism from readers so we needed so we can
fix what is to be deficient in a paper that we made.

Definition
of Nominal Sentences
a.
Noun1+Verb+Noun1
can be called Nominal
Sentences is a sentence containing a verb structural
significance. That is, the nominal sentence does not use the infinitive verbs as a predicate. The

b.
Noun1+Verb+Noun1 (nominal sentences) has a verb that is called a copula
because it serves to connect the second noun is the sentence. The verb that be
used usually is to be.
Example:
-

The sentences above is a very simple definition.
The

(Instrumen adalah sebuah perangkat yang digunakan untuk melakukan hal-hal sensitif.
-
A machine is a mechanical device which is used to produce power. (Sebuah

d.
Verb to be most often
used in nominal sentences, but still there
are other verbs that can be used to form this pattern, namely to Become and to Remain.
Example:
- Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian painter, architect,
engineer, and musician. (Leonardo da Vinci adalah seorang pelukis Italia,
arsitek, insinyur, dan musisi).
- He became one of the greatest artists of the Italian
Rennaissance. (Ia menjadi salah satu seniman besar dari Ressainance Italia).
